Barcelona is not a cheap city to go out in, and the gap between what people expect and what they actually spend is where most bad nights come from. Better to know the numbers before you arrive than to work them out at the bar with a card in your hand.
A realistic night out at the beachfront clubs, including entry and a few drinks, lands somewhere between 50 and 80 euros per person. You can do it for less, and it is very easy to do it for a great deal more.

The three ways people overspend
Arriving late. Several Barcelona clubs price entry in tiers. Around ten euros just after midnight, fifteen an hour later, twenty by one in the morning. The drink included stays the same. Arriving early is the single largest saving available on a normal night, and it beats any discount code.
Buying rounds one at a time. Six people buying six separate spirits and mixers is around seventy euros. The same group sharing a bottle at a table often lands in the same territory but with the seating included. Below six people, table service almost never makes sense.
Not eating first. Dinner in Barcelona at nine or ten is far cheaper than anything you will buy after two in the morning, and it changes how the rest of the night goes.
A realistic budget for one night
- Careful: around 35 to 45 EUR. Early entry, a couple of beers, metro or a shared taxi.
- Normal: around 50 to 80 EUR. Entry, three or four drinks, a taxi home.
- Loose: 100 EUR and up. Cocktails at a beachfront club and no particular plan.
Where the money does not go as far

Music venues such as Razzmatazz, Apolo, Moog and Macarena sit lower on drinks and entry, with crowds that came for the music rather than the view. If the budget is the constraint, that is where it stretches furthest.
What is actually free
Guest lists exist and they genuinely reduce or remove the entry fee, most reliably on weeknights and before a cutoff time. What a guest list does not do is guarantee space in a full room, override a dress code, or cover anything you drink once you are inside.
